Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 October 2026

This privacy policy explains how ProgeSwiss Sàrl ("ProgeSwiss", "we") processes personal data when you visit the SpartanFX website at spartanfx.ch, including the documentation and the component showcase (the "Website"), and when you contact us or request a demo. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This policy covers the Website only. It does not cover the SpartanFX software: when customers use SpartanFX components in their own applications, they decide which data those applications process, and the SpartanFX license agreement applies.

The Website does not use cookies. We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or create profiles of visitors.

Hosting

The Website is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. When you open a page, your browser automatically sends technical data to Microsoft's servers, which is required to deliver the page: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested address (URL), the referring page, and your browser's user-agent string (browser and operating system). Microsoft serves the Website's files from locations distributed around the world, usually the one nearest to you.

These data are processed to deliver the Website and to keep it secure and stable. We do not store or analyze these server data ourselves; Microsoft processes them on our behalf as our hosting provider and keeps these technical logs for a limited period under its own retention rules. Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Usage statistics

To understand which pages are used and to improve the documentation, we use Azure Application Insights, a Microsoft service. It works without cookies and without storing any information on your device.

When you open a page, the following data are sent to Microsoft:

  • the address (URL) of the page viewed and, if your browser provides it, the address of the page that referred you;
  • the date and time of the page view and how long the page took to load;
  • your browser, operating system and device type, as reported by your browser;
  • random identifiers for the current visit. They are not stored on your device and change every time you load the Website, so we cannot recognize you on later visits.

Your IP address is used only to determine your approximate location (city, region and country). It is then discarded and not stored.

We use these data only as aggregated statistics. We do not use them to identify you and do not combine them with other data. The data are stored in Switzerland (Microsoft Azure region Switzerland North) and are deleted automatically after 90 days. Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the use of our Website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

You can object to this processing at any time (see Your rights). Because nothing is stored on your device, the simplest way to stop it is to block requests to applicationinsights.azure.com, for example with a content blocker. This does not affect your use of the Website.

Icon fonts

Some pages load icon fonts from Microsoft's content delivery network (res.cdn.office.net). Your browser then connects directly to Microsoft's servers and transmits your IP address and the technical data described under Hosting. We use these fonts to display icons consistently; where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in a consistent presentation of the Website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Microsoft processes these data under its own responsibility, as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Sample images in the Showcase

The interactive demos on the Showcase pages display placeholder photos and avatars loaded from third-party services: picsum.photos, randomuser.me, ui-avatars.com and i.pravatar.cc. When you open these pages, your browser requests the images directly from these services, which receive your IP address and the technical data described under Hosting.

These providers process the data under their own responsibility, and we have no influence over this processing. Their servers may be located outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA, including in countries that do not provide an adequate level of data protection. We use these services to show realistic sample data in the demos; where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in presenting our components (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you do not want this, do not open the Showcase pages or block these domains with a content blocker.

Information stored in your browser

The Website does not use cookies. Some functions store settings in your browser's storage (local storage or session storage), for example your choice of light or dark mode, the selected documentation version, or settings you change in the interactive demos (such as the column layout of a demo table).

This information stays on your device, is not sent to us or to third parties, and is used only to remember your settings. In accordance with Art. 45c of the Swiss Telecommunications Act, you can refuse or delete this storage at any time in your browser settings, for example by blocking or deleting site data for this Website. The Website remains usable, but your settings will not be remembered.

Contact and demo requests

If you contact us by email, we process your name, your email address and the content of your message to answer your request.

If you request a demo through the demo links on the Website, you are taken to a booking page provided through Microsoft Bookings (part of Microsoft 365). We process the information you enter there, such as your name, email address, the date and time you choose and any notes, to schedule and conduct the demo.

We use Microsoft 365 for email and for demo bookings; Microsoft processes these data on our behalf.

Providing these data is voluntary, but we cannot answer your request or schedule a demo without them. Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is the performance of steps you request before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For how long we keep these data, see Retention.

We do not send newsletters or marketing emails without your separate consent, and we never sell your data.

Recipients and transfers abroad

We disclose personal data only to the service providers named in this policy and, where we are legally obliged to do so, to authorities.

We use Microsoft as our processor for hosting, usage statistics, our email and demo bookings (Microsoft 365), under a data processing agreement (the Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum). Microsoft is a company based in the United States and may process data in other countries, for example when delivering the Website from a location near you or when providing support.

Where data could be accessed from outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA, the transfer is protected by the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Microsoft is certified, or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. The Swiss Federal Council has recognized the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework as ensuring an adequate level of data protection since 15 September 2024.

For the providers of icon fonts and sample images, see Icon fonts and Sample images in the Showcase.

Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Emails and demo requests: six months, then deleted.
  • If our exchange leads to a contract, we keep what that contract requires for the legal retention periods.
  • Usage statistics: 90 days, then deleted automatically.
  • Technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention rules.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable law, you have the right to:

  • request information about whether and which personal data we process about you (right of access);
  • have incorrect personal data corrected;
  • have your personal data deleted or its processing restricted;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
  • receive personal data you have provided to us in a common electronic format (data portability);
  • withdraw any consent you have given.

To exercise these rights, write to info@progeswiss.ch. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we reply within 30 days. Because the usage statistics contain no identifiers that we could link to you, we are generally unable to find your data in them.

You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern (www.edoeb.admin.ch). If you live or work in the EU/EEA, you can also contact the data protection authority of your country.

Automated decisions

We do not make automated individual decisions and do not use profiling.

Security

We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organizational measures. The Website is transmitted to your browser over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to your requests is limited to the ProgeSwiss staff handling them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy at any time, for example when the Website or the services we use change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
